Georgios Praidis
He was born in 1791 in Moudania. Political. He studied at the Great School of his Genus and taught Greek from 1813 to 1819 in Bucharest where he was initiated into the Filiki Etairia and associated with Alexandros Mavrokordatos. From 1819-1821 he studied law at the Universities of Pisa and Paris. In 1821 he came to Greece with Alexandros Mavrokordatos and occupied top administrative positions from Governor I. Kapodistria. He participated in the organization of the Court of Auditors and served as Vice-President of the Hellenic Court of audit from 1838 (Government Gazette A΄ 26) to 1839. With N.D. On December 4/16, 1839 (Government Gazette A' 25) he was appointed State Commissioner General to the Court of Auditors and exercised his duties until 12/27/1842 (Government Gazette A' 31). He was once again State Prosecutor General from 13/7/1844 to 1855, as well as from 1866 with the B.D. of July 19, 1866 and held office until the year 1869. Subsequently, he was appointed Royal Commissioner to the Holy Synod. He also served as Minister of Justice in the Government of Spyridon Trikoupis from 3/4/1833 to 12/10/1833, Minister of Justice in the Government of Alexandros Mavrokordatos from 12/10/1833 to 13/10/1833, Minister of Justice in the Government of Ioannis Kolettis from 8/8/1834 to 20/5/1835 and Minister of Justice in the Government of Ludov. Armansberg from 20/5/1835 to 30/1/1836. He was distinguished for his honesty and died penniless in Athens on 11/10/1873.
